Still can't believe Michael Jackson is gone...it still hasn't sunk in yet...well, I'm not gonna lie, I started listening to some unreleased MJ one night, including the full version of "Carousel" and almost welled up. I'll never forget the time my mother realized I actually had an ear for music: When I was really young, about 5 or 6 Judge Mom & I were in the car ('92 Ford Escort Station Wagon, lol) on our way to Chicago one weekend... We had the tape cassette of Thriller on deck. "Baby Be Mine" was playing, and I started singing the horn parts and voicing out the chords...*sigh* and his memorial service was very tasteful...John Mayer, Stevie & Usher killed it. Mariah....ehhhhhhh, not so much... and Paris...... wow, so powerful...

I looked at last weekend as somewhat of a litmus test as to what moves I'm gonna pursue for the rest of this summer. Right now, I feel more so refreshed...like one of those moments when you feel a burden has been lifted. I feel I've left those certain instances & situations which, at the end of the day, would have been holding me back...u know, moving on is a tough thing to do at times, b/c one can look at one thing as that glimmer of hope that some things can work out. It's all good though, because even though as one is reading this, it might be perceived as losing.....lol, pssssssh, I stay on my grind...thus, I'm winning! Even on my worst days, I'm still winning...

I was gonna make this a separate post but fuck it: MY PET PEEVES WITH TWITTER AND PEOPLE ON TWITTER:

1) People that want me to listen to their music, so they shoot me an @reply on twitter. Believe me when I tell you that I give mostly everybody a chance when it comes to music. However, Twitter is NOT...I repeat..NOT a way for me to listen to your shit.

2) People who tweet about the dumbest shit ever <--pretty vague statement right? I'll leave that open for interpretation, lol

3)People promoting their events on Twitter. Well, not so much people promoting events, because we all have moves we have to make at one time or another. I'm talkin about those that are following thousands of people, & only have 20 people following them, then proceed to @reply everyone they're following...y'all are annoying as fuck...I'm just sayin...

4) Everybody and they momma askin me to follow them. LISTEN (actually, read carefully but act like I'm screamin this ok? LOL!). Some people act like they're that important that I must follow them, then bitch and moan when I don't, like they're that interesting... then, when I ask a question like "IS IT REALLY THAT SERIOUS?" people all of a sudden step back and say "Man, C'mon Cliff, I just wanted you to follow me because (then this is what the rest of the "convo" sounds like to me) blah blah blah blah blah bullshit"... at the end of the day, some of y'all seriously need to GROW THE FUCK UP! MESSAGE!!! AT the end of the day, if you're not gonna make me some money and/or are super hilarious, chances are that I'm not gonna follow you on twitter
