GENIUS.

Jazz is basically the early 20th century's version of Hip-Hop. Many of the qualities in Jazz (on-the-spot improvisation, rhythms, battles, musicianship, etc.) are found in today's Hip-Hop, all the way down to comparisons in the Fashion cultures of Jazz and Hip-Hop. The late jazz great Nat King Cole will be releasing a remix album called Re: Generations. Now, I could type out the concept, but this YouTube video says it all. After you watch the video, please listen to these tracks....they don't disappoint at all. I'm glad this made some of the hip-hop blogs and can only hope that more projects like this are done in the future.
