A couple years ago, before I started the blog, I was doing jazz music as my hustle, and I was killin it out there (I probably get into that in a later post). Anyways, when it came down to my favorite saxophonists, one of my two favorites was Damani Phillips, who I studied under for seven years. The other would have to be James Carter. The battle between he and Joshua Redman Live at Carnegie Hall is epic. In my opinion, one of the most classic battles in Jazz history
